Accent1What Is the Wounded Child Within?
The wounded child within seems to have several characteristics as a result of being raised in a wounded household. These include isolation, fear of people and authority figures, seeking approval, loss of self identity, fear of angry people and personal criticism, alcoholism, compulsive behaviors, living life from the viewpoint of a victim, an overdeveloped sense of responsibility, feelings of guilt for standing up for oneself, addiction to excitement, confusing love and pity, the lost ability to feel or express our feelings because it hurts so much, harsh self judgement and low self esteem, dependency and fear of abandonment.

  Accent1Program Overview
The group was developed to assist individuals to understand and to get in touch with their personal process of growth and development. Very often the individual suffers a wounding experience which affects his or her choices, self worth, and life patterns from that time forward.
During the group, we will learn how these wounding experiences can be understood, worked with, and healed so the individual can continue the process of growth, development, and change on the pathway to happiness.
